The night was very warm. I and Lexie swam, talked and laughed. She was great girl. Friendly, straightforward, cheerful, it was always great to have her around. I wasn't surprised that Lexie was one of the closest Dexter's friends.
After long swimming in the pool we were hungry, so we used the grill and made a late dinner or already breakfast for us.
"All is fine?" Suddenly Lexie asked.
"Mmm... Maybe not everything is perfect, but more or less... I am fine," I answered. "And you? All is fine?"
"Not everything is perfect, too..." She answered.
"Why?" I turned to her.
"I don't know..." Lexie shrugged. "I think things aren't going the way I'd like to..."
"What do you mean?"
"Do you really want to hear about my girlish problems?" She asked looking somewhere in the distance.
"And why not? I don't care it's girlish or boyish problems... We're all the same," I smiled looking at her.

"OK... So..."
"Yes... I am listening to you..." I nodded and continued to eat my dinner.
"I think I fell in love, Lucien..."
"Is it bad?"
"No... It's just... sad."
"Why?"
"Because he doesn't pay his attention to me... And it's not a first time when it happens in my life. I feel... Worthless and just stupid girl."

"It's not good, Lexie," I answered. "It's a nonsense... "
I felt how she's looking at me.
"Are you trying to flatter me or what? If yes, then don't waste your time, dude, OK?"
"I don't flatter... I'm saying that's a nonsense."
"OK... Were you in love with someone who doesn't need you and you always see how he stares at someone else?"
I started to think. Honestly, I didn't know if I was in love with someone who didn't pay the attention to me. My experience in love was miserable, I even didn't have what to tell about it.

"Ha! You see?!" Lexie chuckled. "You wasn't in such situation like I!"
"I was.." I nodded turning my face to her. "He rejected me, because he was scared," I remembered Archer.
"But he loved you, right?"
"Yes..."
"So it's totally different situation..." Lexie said with gloomy voice.
"It doesn't mean that to be in love means to be happy, Lexie..." I smiled at her. "And... If he doesn't pay his attention to you it means he even isn't worthy of you! You will find better," I winked trying to comfort her.
"You talk like my father..." Lexie rolled her eyes.
"I'm not sure if I could be your father..." I chuckled. "Your older brother? Yes! But your father... Nooo..."
"Stop laughing at me!" She pocked my arm.
"Come on! I'd never mock at you!" I laughed. "Let's change our topic, Miss Philosopher! All will be fine!" I patted her shoulder and rose to my feet. "Better let's go to jump from the stones!"
"I'll better watch you!" Lexie grinned.
"So you don't want to join me in the show?"
"No..." She laughed. "I prefer to watch your show!"
"OK..." I smiled at Lexie and climbed onto the stones. "So... Ladies and gentlemen!" I bowed to my invisible audience making Lexie laugh again.

Lexie started to applaud.
"Go! Just don't break your leg!"
"I will try... But here is high you know?" I pretended I am afraid to jump and made a scared face.
"Just jump! If not then I will come and push you!" Lexie giggled.
"OK..." I said slowly lifting my hands and preparing for the jump.

And of course, the jump was bad.
But at last it made Lexie laugh and forget her bad mood.
"You did it intentionally!" Lexie came to me when I got out from the water.
"No..." I shook my head.
"I know you did it... Silly! You could injure yourself!" Lexie punched me.
I laughed and fell backward into the water.
"You are crazy!" Lexie laughed watching me.
"Yes! It can be!" I agreed and got out from the pool. "So what would you like to do? It's pretty late!" I said looking at the sky.
"Yeah... And I don't want to go to home..." Lexie bit her own lip.
"You don't have to! You can stay at my home! There is a lot of space!"
"Really?"
"Sure!" I nodded.
"Then cool!" Lexie rejoyced.
"OK... Then let's take our clothes and I will call the taxi!"
