After a few months...
"Berta! That's where you are! Where were you? It's still quiet early morning!" Berta's thoughts were stopped by Charlene's loud voice.
"Good morning," Berta smiled broadly, watching rushing towards her red-haired girl. "I walked in the park. I couldn't sleep in such a beautiful morning."
"Oh really?" Charlene smiled. "Look what this dude has shared on Facebook again..." The girl showed Berta her phone.
Both girls started to laugh.
"I totally agree with you," Charlene turned her head to Berta. "Like many guys..."
Berta smiled and felt that her gaze had stayed too long on Charlene's face, she blushed and turned her gaze.
"Charlene! Berta!" The head of the blond girl appeared out of the door of the dormitory. "Breakfast!"
"We are coming!" Charlene rushed to the dormitory.
Berta followed Charlene with her eyes. "She is very beautiful..."
Berta smiled.
"Aye, of course," she nodded and followed Charlene to the dormitory.
"Hey, are you okay?" Thomas poked her arm.
"What?" Berta quelled as if she was awakened from the sleep.
"Welcome back to Earth!" Thomas laughed. "I'm asking if everything is fine?"
"Of course," Berta smiled. She has noticed only now that her plate is already empty long time. "And you what? It's strange to see you at home in the evening," she looked at the boy's face.
- This evening I'm free," Thomas smiled mysteriously. "What are you worried about? Did I bother you?"
"For me..." Berta chuckled shrugging. "You can not return home the whole week!"
Channer, who was sitting against Thomas, laughed.
"I contradict."
"I see," - a wide smile appeared on Berta's face. "Rejoice, Thomas, that there's one person at least who cares about you," she turned his face to Thomas.
The boy's blushed face told that he's a bit embarrased. Channer giggled.
"You say?" Thomas also grinned widely. "Are you just not jealous?"
"Come on..." Berta laughed dropping her eyes down.
Channer is Channer. He was always straightforward and always says what's gonna hit at his head. Berta felt like her face warmed. She knew what they were talking about. Enrique. He keeps glancing at her. At the class, in the kitchen, in the dining room, anywhere... And his room is next to her room. But it's unlikely that they have ever talked like she is currently chatting with Thomas and Channer. Enrique didn't even have much to do with the guys. True, her friends said that he was different before, that he was known to everyone as a soul of the parties, but then something happened. Enrique became totally different person. And really... He was weird. Well, he behaved strangely at least, at least in Berta's respect. Especially after what happened that evening...
It's a time to turn the conversation to the other side. Berta hit Joshua's leg.
"Josh ..." she smiled at the boy. "What do you read there?"
"Romance novel," Thomas grinned and both with Channer cried out.
Joshua pretended that he didn't hear Thoma's replication. He smiled at the girl and opened the cover of the book. Berta looked carefully at the book on which was written Hermann Hesse "Steppenwolf".
"Philosophy," Channer also looked at the book's cover and smiled. "I like books, but not about philosophy."
Berta chuckled.
"Aye, unless someone publish a book about the philosophy of the platypus."
Joshua looked at the girl with a happy smile on his face and started to read again. He was grateful to Berta for defending him from the replication of the guys. Channer mumbled something and giggled. He always behaves like that, when he feels ashamed. It was strange to see him and Thomas as a couple, because they were different like day and night, but they were inseparable. And they behaved like real rabbits. Once upon a time, Berta accidentally found them naked and in very romantic mood at the steam.
And the next morning after what happened... When she played the guitar at the dormitory club... He walked over her cursing and screaming as if Berta would be guilty for Enrique's misfortune.
Only later she found out that it was almost true.
"Where are you going?" asked Thomas.
"I'll go to bed. Good night for you, lovey doveys," she smiled.
"Just don't forget to close the window that some vampire wouldn't climb through the window and wouldn't drink all your blood," Channer laughed.
"Vampire Enrike," Thomas smirked and both with Channer cried out again.
"Not funny at all," Berta said half-joking half-seriously and went into her room.
